About ACT
ACT Bucks stands for the Alliance of Community Theaters of Bucks County. It was formed during the pandemic of 2020 to share planning and resources necessary to recover from the closures mandated by Covid-19, as well as to provide an open forum for best practices. ACT Bucks consists of the following organizations:
ActorsNET, Inc – in Morrisville
Langhorne Players – in Newtown
Newtown Arts Company – in Newtown
Town & Country Players – in Buckingham
As an association of independent community theaters, our mission is to raise public awareness of the unique arts resources that are integral parts of our Bucks County community. Bucks County has a rich history in the arts dating back to the early years of the 20th Century when bucolic Bucks was a mecca for the movers and shakers of the theatrical world. Starting with a “straw-hat circuit” theater movement, some of our member companies have their early roots in those days. Our individual company missions aim to present programs of theater as diverse as the interests of the people who live (and visit) here.
This website is intended to provide a quick and easy-to-access roster of “What’s on Offer” at any given time by the theaters in our alliance. In so doing, we aim to provide you with a menu of the best that Bucks has to offer for your entertainment pleasure.

That's what makes the show. Every performance is different because every audience is different. Communication flows from the stage to the audience and from the audience to the stage. That's what makes each performance unique. The audience is a vital part of that communal experience.
